I believe therapy is a collaborative process from which clients feel more empowered to be who they are wanting to be. My professional experience working with marginalized populations and trauma has led me to value being trauma-informed, holding an intersectional perspective, and creating an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance and safety. Because therapy should always be tailored to a client’s goals, world view, and personality, I use a fluid mix of therapeutic techniques pulling from mindfulness, art, EMDR, solution-focused, narrative, and existential therapy. I have strong experience in processing trauma, domestic violence and sexual abuse, grief, life transitions, societal oppression, LGBTQIA+ issues, alternative lifestyles, and relational conflict or communication. Growth and healing are journeys, and I am honored to be a support, guide, or tool that clients use to get where they want to be.
