Cristina Coupal, LCSW (She/Hers) I am dedicated to helping individuals of all ages and abilities navigate life's challenges with compassion.

Empowering clients to set meaningful goals and achieve personal growth regardless of barriers and circumstance is my passion. Whether you're facing transitions, coping with chronic mental health concerns, or struggling to find a sense of purpose, my therapy sessions will include gentle support and specific strategies to enhance your quality of life.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that mental health is deeply connected to the wellbeing of our bodies, homes, relationships and society. I’ve worked with people experiencing social isolation, racial trauma, internalized homophobia, financial crises, and violence in the home or neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed helping clients direct themselves toward healing without quitting drugs they don’t want to quit.

Many clients I’ve served are navigating life with physical conditions that limit mobility, communication or employment. I bring respect and curiosity to how broader issues impact your experience, and sensitivity to how complicated it can be to feel at ease with life as it is for you today.

Our sessions will be tailored to be the most effective for you. If structure and specific goals are important, I’m ready with solid techniques and exercises for you to make the changes you are ready to make. For less structured sessions, I welcome the opportunity to explore what’s important to you, to tell new stories about old experiences, and build self-compassion. I can incorporate my experience and training in mindfulness, harm reduction, trauma therapy and the creative arts.

My aim is to establish a supportive environment where you feel safe to spill it all out, confident in your healing process, and celebrated for who you are- as you are.
